Explore your senses with Le Saint-James at La Cité du Vin
RELAIS AND CHATEAUX gastronomic hotel Le Saint-James is located just 15 minutes from central Bordeaux in the quaint village of Bouliac. In line with the highly anticipated opening of Bordeaux’s innovative, multi-sensory wine museum, La Cité du Vin, Le Saint-James is offering a one-night package to invite guests to embrace the culture of Bordeaux with a short break celebrating French wine and gastronomy, for just 420 euros per person.
Guests are given the opportunity to be one of the first through the doors of La Cité du Vin, located on the banks of the River Garrone. The innovative exhibition space, set across ten floors, is set to open its doors on 2 June 2016. It will offer visitors a unique sensory tour, along with state-of-the-art workshops and over 120 audio-visual creations, in celebration of France and its wine-making heritage. Le Saint-James is offering transfers to and from this exciting new attraction as part of the package.
Also included is a decadent dinner for two in the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant; each dish crafted by head chef Nicolas Magie, whose creations are inspired by the Aquitaine region, with the finest French wines to accompany each course.
La Cité du Vin is expecting 450,000 visitors per year, and as Le Saint-James is situated on the ‘Balcony of Bordeaux’, it is the perfect location to stay during your visit, with breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Each bed is uniquely positioned to ensure stunning views from every room overlooking the hotel’s own vineyard, the River Garrone and the city of Bordeaux in the distance.
The Wine & Dine in Bordeaux package is available from 1 June to 30 September 2016 for 840 euros for two people, and 1 October to 30 December 2016 for 740 euros for two people.
